Leamington Spa Auction Centre

Wednesday 22nd February – 9am to 7pm,
Morning of sale from 9am

This is a specialist sale of Mid Century classic designed furniture and collectables. These auctions have proved to be very popular with specialist buyers and private individuals looking for something out of the ordinary to furnish their homes.

The first Mid-Century Design sale of 2017 is at our Leamington Spa office and includes a diverse selection of British, Scandinavian and American furniture and lighting. Featured in the sale is a large consignment of contemporary office furniture and lighting by Sir Norman Foster, Charles Eames and other famous designers. Vintage industrial/classroom stacking chairs- of which this sale has a good number- are always popular sellers. Other highlights amongst the furniture include a John and Sylvia Reid Stag sideboard, an unusual Erik Buch dining suite and a B&O rosewood sideboard.

Consigned by various individuals, the saleroom will be filled with over 50 lots of screenprints, oils and watercolours including a large collection of Mackenzie Thorpe limited edition prints and two 2016 Tracey Emin etchings. Amongst the collectables and ceramics, a rare Braun SK55 record player- nicknamed ‘Snow White’s Coffin’- should attract competitive bidding; and a tapering Clarice Cliff vase also holds potential.

All in all, we look forward to seeing you on Thursday the 23rd of February for a busy and exciting sale.

We regret that we are unable to process requests for condition reports received after 1.00pm on the day preceding the sale
