Late Spring Auction Sale of Vintage & Modern Wines & Spirits

Our spring sale includes another wide selection to suit most palettes. We are fortunate to have entries following the retirement of a Restauranteur as well as local estates and private collections.

This time we have some select Italian Grappa to compliment an excellent range and quantity of Cognacs and Armagnacs including many XO and old vintages back as far as 1944. As well as a range of Collectable and drinkable Whisky, we also have a number of Gins, Rums, Vodka, Tequila, Calvados,  and liqueurs to help restock a good cocktail cabinet or two.

Once again we are pleased to offer a good range of Vintage and other ports from a range of Vintages and Houses to suit most tastes. With 30 lots varying from single bottles to cases of 6 and 12 bottles, this could be the time to stock up! We have a range from 1958 to 2205 vintages this time. The guides say that most lots are ready to drink but many could be kept for many years in particular the cases of Quarles Harris 1977, the 12 Warre’s 1991 and others from 2005 & 1995. Check them out in the catalogue from lot 1101.

We have a selection of Dessert sweet wines again with a large entry of Icewine from China. A well respected wine merchant stocks the same and says that it is ready but will keep, medium-full bodied sweet, fresh and pure to taste with a positive level of acidity and a profile of citrus and tropical fruits, blossom and honey. They recommend to match creamy desserts like Crème Brulee. Come and see if you agree, we will have some available for a tasting at the viewing.

Got something to celebrate? We have quite a number of bottles of Champagne to sell. From older Vintages to modern bottlings including Taittinger, Bollinger, Diebolt-Vallois, Mercier, Pommery, Heidsieck, Moet and others – take a look at the online catalogue from lot 1151.

The Wine section is again dominated by Reds but we do have Whites and Rose if you look carefully. We start with some cracking classic French Clarets and Burgundy at lot 1201 but also have a selection of Classic Italian South African and Australian wines. Add to that fine wines from Argentina, Lebannon, Spain, Germany and China and there is something for most tastes. We also have quantities of everyday wines which you may find too good to cook with?

Add to this a few Collectable Ales, signed bottles and ephemera and it sounds like an interesting day out for those who enjoy a tipple or two (or a day in if you want to bid online).

Entries now Invited for our Summer Sale on the 2nd July.
